DESCRIPTION:The Zevenheuvelentrail is an annual trail running event held in the scenic hills and forests surrounding Nijmegen\, Netherlands. The 2025 edition is scheduled for Saturday\, 27 September\, offering a range of distances to accommodate various skill levels: 7 km\, 14 km\, 21 km\, 28 km\, 42 km\, and 56 km. The courses pass through diverse terrains\, including steep climbs\, challenging descents\, and narrow\, unpaved paths through areas such as De But forest\, Landgoed van Jurgens\, the Duivelsberg\, and the Elyzeese Velden. \nA notable feature of the event is the Dutch National Trailrunning Championships (NK Trailrunning)\, which will be held concurrently. The championships include a short trail (28 km) and a long trail (56 km)\, open to athletes with a valid competition license or a day license from the Atletiekunie. \nThe start and finish areas are located at Museumpark Orientalis\, providing participants with access to normally restricted trails within the park. This venue also hosts the KION Kindertrail and the Zevenheuvelenhike\, which take place on Sunday\, 28 September.
