The swb-Marathon Bremen is a nice annual running event in Bremen, Germany. The 2025 edition, marking its 20th anniversary, is scheduled for Sunday, 5 October 2025, with the full marathon starting at 9:30 AM. The event offers various race distances to accommodate different levels of runners. For the full marathon (42.195 km) the starting and finishing line is at the historic Bremen Market Square, where the course leads runners through diverse parts of the city, including the Werdersee, Botanical Garden, University, Bürgerpark, Überseestadt, and the Wohninvest Weserstadion, before returning via the Osterdeich. The AOK Half Marathon (21.1 km) starts at 11:30 AM, this route also begins and ends at the Market Square, passing landmarks such as the Hauptbahnhof, Bürgerpark, Überseestadt, and the Weser waterfront.
