Security & good care statement

1.1 General:

At Day One, the safety, well-being, and positive experience of everyone participating in our programs are our highest priorities. We believe that running and movement are powerful tools for growth, personal health, and connection. With that comes our deep commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and responsible environment for all participants.

1.2 Our commitment to health and safety:

We do everything within our power to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved in our programs. This means:

– Our programs are carefully designed to support safe and responsible training habits.
– We provide clear guidance, instructions, and tips to minimize risks, including attention to warming up, cooling down, responsible progression, and injury prevention.
– Routes and activities are selected with safety in mind, taking into account traffic situations, weather conditions, and physical demands of all participants.
– We pro-actively communicate via participants where they can share concerns, questions, or health limitations before or during the activities.
– In case of doubt about physical complaints or health conditions, we advise participants to consult a medical professional before participating, as well as during the training program.

1.3 Our approach to risk:

It is important to note that, despite our best efforts, Day One is not insured for damages or personal injuries resulting from participation in our programs. Participation is always at your own risk. That said, we firmly believe that training with us reduces, rather than increases, the risk of injuries or accidents, precisely because:

– We help participants train in a structured and gradual way, avoiding overtraining or unnecessary risks.
– We encourage participants to listen to their bodies, respect their limits, and make conscious, responsible choices.
– We promote safe running practices that can prevent long-term injuries and unsafe behavior during unsupervised training.

– We communicate clearly and regularly on topics like nutrition, training programs, preparation etc. that further reduces the risks of injuries or accidents

1.4 Personal responsibility:

We ask all participants to take personal responsibility for:

– Listening to their body and being mindful of signals of fatigue, discomfort, or pain.
– Informing us of any injuries, limitations, or concerns.
– Following the guidance and instructions given during the program.

1.5 Final note:

At Day One, we see good care and responsible sport participation as a shared responsibility between our team and our participants. Our goal is to empower everyone to enjoy running safely, consciously, and with joy. Today and for the long term.

We are proud of our approach, our commitment, and the fact that our participants train in a more mindful, structured, and safer way with us than they would on their own.
